Greetings everyone,

Thank you for visiting the thread. I am proud to announce that the Grand Theft Auto III: Beta Version Mod is now available to download . In this mod, we have followed and recreated all the key features (down below) of the GTA 3 Beta that was shown at E32001. This mod is a complete reboot for the GTA Beta Version Mod series. Please bear in mind, since the team is very small at the moment, the release of the mod only focused on key features. We will definitely keep updating the mod to make it accurate. The mod has been in a 3 months development cycle, which Dan and I are happy with the results. We hope you enjoy the mod, and we're looking forward to your feedbacks.

Here's a pro tip for Playing GTa3 Alpha with Saved Games

1:Get the Untouched Main.SCM from a Vanilla GTAIII
2:Copy & Paste the Untouched Main.SCM to tha GTa3 Alpha data folder
and overwrite the touched Main.SCM
3:Enjoy

The Savegames and the edited Main.scm won't gonna match.
since the Savegames only work with the Orginal/Untouched Main.SCM
So all you had to do is replace the edited Main.SCM with the Orginal Main.SCM.
Now the Save game and the Main.scm are matched,you're good to go!.

Sadly there are No Saved games exist for the Edited Main.SCM (for the Alpha mod)

Grand Theft Auto III: Beta Version Mod Update!!!

Hi all,

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I came to give you an update about the mod, and it's making progress. We're doing major work on Stauton Island at the moment. Once we're done, I will be happy to show some screenshots. I am getting help with Dan131 on the map editing, so I'm not the only one. MiAtZa is doing work with mission scripting and other stuff. We're doing the best we can to have this mod ready by Holiday 2016. But, we want this to be accurate. So we are taking our time. We still have a lot of work to do, and we thank you for your patience. We will keep you guys posted.

Hey Shadow,

Thanks for the kind words. I did in fact gave up, but I'm back. The team and I do want to get this out by Holiday 2016. If that changes, I will definitely keep y'all posted. As I stated, the team is only 3 guys. We just might make it as a early access release this Holiday and then keep updating the game like we did in the past but take more time on it. We do want to make it accurate. We're just focusing on the main features right now. Plus, we won't be doing monthly releases and release other projects in between. We are only focusing on the GTA 3 beta mod at the moment. Thanks for stopping by! Smile

Porgress it's going slow at the moment. Melted's busy and i ca't talk to him.
We are working on the mod.
He's on the timecyc, carcols. And im gonna do some models and other changes.

Hey everyone,

MiAtza is right, I have not been on skype lately. But development of the mod is still going and I've been working on it even tho I'm not on skype. The thing is, Dan and I are working very hard on the map changes to both Stauton and Portland. We're working very hard to get this mod out by this holiday. Screenshots were planned to be shown next week, but somethings came up. We're delaying the screenshots so we can re-create the beta timecyc from the ground up and not Filips timecyc. Plus, we're also working on the beta effects like water, fire, splashes etc. So far, we've done a lot in the past week, and oh my, we are blown with the progress. Thank you for your patience, and we will continue to keep you posted.

i saw that R4GN0R0K did them, but i couldnt find any download links thats why i decided to make them myself, and the changes are minimal so it wasnt hard to recreate them Smile

While i doubt this would beat out GTA3D, i am happy to see a mod that re-creates the E3 version, i always wanted a mod like that. Please don't disappoint. Good luck to team and mod in general.

They are doing the alpha, main prototype core of the game, and we are doing the final-ish to E3 version wich has some of the parts removed. (you can't see them in the final game)

No, i really don't care. But i have seen people doing this GTA3D vs our mod stuff in the past,(more like a few days ago lol) and i seriously don't like it. Sorry if you missunderstood.

I do not know what's going on here, but everyone needs to chill out!!! I want to make things clear here and everyone needs to understand.

1. There's no competition between GTA3D and Us.
2. The beef between the old team members and I was two years ago. We're all in good terms now.
3. GTA3D is working on a Alpha mod. We're working on the E3 beta. Two different versions, but, we're all equally busting our asses to get the mods done.

I repeat there is no competition. The beef was two years ago. Please do not come here and mention something that happened a long time ago. Sergiu, Eddie and I are in good terms again. I suggest you let it go too. After this post, if I see anyone trying to bring up the past again will get IP Banned. I'm not trying to sound anal, but this need to stop.

Hi everyone,

Hope you all are enjoying the new screenshots of the mod. Just keep in mind, we are still in early development. So everything is still a work-in-progress. We're doing the best we can to get this mod to you. We have tons of work that are still being done and already have been done. Please keep in mind, these screenshots are only to show progress of the beta Stauton map. As you can see, it's still in early development. Stauton is not completed yet and Portland has just been started. The maps are being done by Dan 131 and I. Miatza is working on missions. There will be another batch of screenshots coming once Portland is at the stage of being shown to you guys. Until then, that's all we have for now.
